Mount St. Mary’s College
HRG provided historic resources guidance for Mount St. Mary’s College at both its Chalon Campus in the Brentwood Hills, and the Doheny Campus just south of downtown Los Angeles. To guide the rehabilitation of the historic Doheny Mansion, the centerpiece of the Doheny Campus, HRG prepared a Historic Structure Report (HSR). The HSR documents the current conditions of the property, summarizes significance and history, and suggests recommendations for maintenance and rehabilitation.
Following completion of the HSR, HRG conducted a series of studies to aid in master planning for redevelopment of the school’s two campuses. Tasks completed included preparation of an inventory evaluating historic buildings and their integrity, assistance in the development of design guidelines for new construction, and strategizing and conducting outreach efforts to various stakeholder groups.
